Keemy Keem (Arkeem Stevens) and Rick Nasty (Ricky Brown) grew up in the state of Alabama, calling themselves Pine Grove Boys (PGB) because they were from a little area called Pine Grove. They didn't have much growing up and their families lived paycheck to paycheck. So these two young guys tried to be something in life and began writing music. They wrote according to what they had experienced in life and what they had witnessed instead of life experiences and situations that neither had lived. PGB won’t be writing about their Chevy sitten on spinners because they don't have that, so why write about it.

As you listen to their music you’ll notice that you are listening to something different. That's why people refer to us as “PG13” because you'll never here this kind of style or song and everything is clean. Pine Grove Boys are not thugs, robbers, or jail birds but they are hard rappers. As PGB says, “We will spit game like it's suppose to be spitted.” PGBs album, "So So Classic" had it’s nationwide release in January of ’09.
