Conceptual Editor

Tate Publishing is always looking for individuals with experience editing and critiquing fiction and nonfiction with an eye for both grammatical accuracy and conceptual flow (i.e. plot formation, character development, story arc, etc.). Candidate must have first-rate verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent organization skills. Job responsibilities include editing manuscripts with an objective eye and working closely with authors to tighten and strengthen their work before publication. This is an in-house position. Part-time Copy Editor

Tate Publishing is accepting applications from individuals with experience in proofreading and copyediting. Candidate must be detail-oriented, have a working knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style, and possess excellent organization skills. Job responsibilities include reviewing and revising manuscripts to ensure grammatical and technical accuracy before publication. Position requires 20 hours per week in our offices. Music Marketing Representative

Tate Music Group, a division of Tate Publishing, is looking for in-house individuals to work hand-in-hand with new musical artists to market and promote their newly released music. Responsibilities would include close communication with a variety of musical artists in scheduling performances in artists' local area and managing these events. Other responsibilities include managing distribution of artists' music to wholesalers and retailers. Must be proficient in MS Office, have excellent phone and written communication skills, and an ability to maintain a high level of performance in a fast-paced environment. Advertising Designer

Tate Publishing is accepting applications from individuals with experience in advertising design. This position requires at least 2 years experience in a related design field, a highly creative and self-motivated individual able to work on several projects at one time, a portfolio of completed projects, experience in branding, advertising and promotions, excellent client service skills, and an ability to maintain a high performance level in a fast-paced environment. You will work directly with the client to create options that meet communication strategies. Advanced knowledge of the Adobe products; Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator is a must. Illustrator

Tate Publishing is accepting applications from individuals with experience in illustration. This position requires at least 2 years experience in a related illustration field, a highly creative and self-motivated individual able to work on several projects at one time, a portfolio of completed projects, experience in a wide range of media (computer and traditional), excellent client service skills, and an ability to maintain a high performance level in a fast-paced environment. You will work directly with the author to create options that meet the needs of the author, as well as completes the story. Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Painter is a must to complete touch ups, as well as create original art. This is a full time, in house position. Music producer

Tate Music Group, a division of Tate Publishing, is looking for in-house music producers to help create great music for our artists. Music producers are responsible for managing the entire recording process from recording the first track to mixing the final song. Experience with software like ProTools, Digital Performer, Adobe Audition, Logic and GarageBand highly encouraged. In addition, the ability to play several instruments including guitar, bass guitar, keyboards is a necessity. Audiobook Narrator/Producer

Tate Publishing & Enterprises' audiobook division Tate Out Loud is currently looking to add new members to their talented voicing arsenal. If you like drama, have experience in theatre, acting and/or vocal presentation and enjoy making stories come alive, we want to talk to you! You'll have the opportunity each day to voice audiobooks for the nation's premier publishing house.
